The Community Impact Division concentrates special effort on the growth and development of Downtown Bloomington with the goal of creating a place where people want to live, work and visit. The Division promotes and assists with all Downtown events, manages the Downtown Bloomington Farmers’ Market, and assists with the attraction, retention, and expansion of businesses within the downtown district. 
The Division also participates in other community impact activities, such as processing all city-wide Special Event Permits, and improving local food access through the Farmers’ Market Link Match program.
