Dumpster Permit

Use this permit if you desire to place a dumpster, moving container (POD / U-Haul / etc.) or something similar in the City right of way or street. This permit should be submitted to the Engineering Division a minimum of 72 hours prior to the dumpster or moving container being delivered. Click or tap here to view the Dumpster Permit.

Traffic Control Permit

This application is used to obtain a Traffic Control permit for when any portion of the street or sidewalk needs to be blocked for any amount of time. It should be submitted to the Engineering Division a minimum of 72 hours prior to the work being started. Click or tap here to view the Traffic Control Permit.

Oversize/Overweight Permit

These permits allow the operation of vehicles or loads that exceed the legal maximum weight or size. They are only valid for streets under City of Bloomington jurisdiction. Unless stated otherwise on the permit: (1) Permit movements are only allowed from a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset on weekdays and from a half hour before sunrise to noon on Saturday; (2) Permit movements are prohibited on Sunday and on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
